I am a Licensed Professional Counselor working with children, adolescents and adults. I offer both individual and family therapy. My expertise is in healing traumatic experience using mindfulness based psychotherapy, play therapy, EMDR and brainspotting.
I have over 20 years experience as a child and family therapist and have been in private practice since 1990. I work with a broad spectrum of clients. My training and education has been in the areas of attachment, adoption, grief and loss, parenting, and various issues that arise during life transitions. I greatly enjoy working with adolescents and adults exploring attachment in relationship, individuation, co-dependence, boundary setting and with those struggling with GLBTQ issues.
For many years I worked in community mental health.
My therapeutic approach is to provide warmth and support as well as practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I have found the blend of eastern spiritual understanding and western psychological study to be of great benefit . I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each individual or family. I believe that our true nature is good, wise, happy and compassionate. The journey we can make together, is one of discovering who you already are.
